We had a whole lot of random people at church the last couple of weeks. Three weeks ago we had Jason. He hasn't relly gone anywhere.
Anyways, last week we had Brad and his girlfriend Bri come to church. They moved here from Visalia where they were taught by Elder Stojka and Elder Bishop. We started teaching him, and have gotten him to read at least 17 chapters from the Book of Mormon. He just needs to get married.
This week we had a lady named Cindy come to church. She saw a free Book of Mormon add online and just came to church. She stayed all three hours and participated a lot. We also had Matt and Jessica come. There was also a lady named Betty that came. She has 6 kids. She wanted some temporal relief. We're trying to teach her this week.
During the week we had a lot of good stuff. We found some people and taught some people. On Thursday I went on Exchanges with Elder Derbidge, and it was lots of fun. We really focused on finding, and roleplayed throughout the day whenever we walked anywhere. On Saturday we had president interviews. They're always fun.
With the new ward there is a lot more active members. On Sunday the Bishop called about 8 new ward missionaries. (Some were Spanish). Our number of Member referrals has been going up as well.
We should be able to baptize Junior in the coming weeks. He is an 8 year old that will turn 9 on Wednesday. We'll take it.
This week I learned about how to deal with people doing disappointing things. It is important to reprove, but it is important to have the spirit there first.
This week I learned more about teaching people not lessons. Over the past while I have grown a lot better at talking less and listening more. Elder Holland says, "As we listen with love, we don't need to wonder what to say." ave to have the spirit to teach that way though.
Love,
Elder Keeley
